boost dropped ???

As a minimum I'd recommend boost cut of target boost + 2.5 psi (You may be cutting it a bit fine).
In the height of summer my car peaked 17psi under full load (5th gear foot to floor - up hill - 3000 RPM)
Did you get any signs of overboost or the like before this?
Weathers getting colder & even I (expert ECU guru that I am - errr - ahhh - dohhh) has suffered a smidge of overboost under verryy heavy load conditions .
Over the last few months I ran my car with no problems, however, this week I suffered fuel cut for the first time under these conditions - my car has been through a series of RR sessions checking for det/Knock, overboost etc through the summer/autumn months with no problems - but now it has got colder I am starting to see problems).
It is possible that you may have gone into "safe mode" - max boost 7psi (boost guages are often inaccurate) - This week I suffered fuel cut for the first time under these conditions (You'll be surprised what a massive difference ambient temperature makes).
Do you have any ECU Error Codes?
You could try an ECU reset.
Alternatively after 30 or so trouble free miles the ECU may clear itself.

Its defo in safe mode, you need to reset the ecu to clear it. However the reason why is that the ecu possibly got unhappy about knock sensor output. Either that or you got too close to the boost cut for too long and so the ecu dcided to drop boost.
