I'm in a never-ending search for a silent, free-flowing exhaust... it's never going to happen, but I'd like to see how close I can get
I realise that most of the time, one works against the other - quiet means restrictive & vice-versa. And here, I known, cats are actually doing quite a good job... so much effort goes into making them free-flowing that they can be less restrictive than a badly made resonator lump, but they also make the car a lot quieter. Which is, to me (and apparently only me), a good thing

Now, despite the fact that every time I fit anything from APS I always end up swearing I'll never get anything else from them (better instructions would be good guys, along with threads that don't shear), the kit always seems to do the job well. I haven't tried the exhaust yet, but it looks to be what I'm after... (but then everything is when reading the marketing )

So... what's the flow like? And the noise level - a 'quiet' system to me is the oem one, not (e.g.) the ScoobySport one (which I couldn't manage for more than about 20 minutes without going nuts). After all this typing I hope someone has some info! Or any suggestions...? (and - again rather strangely - I like cats (the platinum type) if they don't get in the way too much).

Nom,
Not got one yet, but the full CS spec kit (inc. exhaust) is to be ordered soon. My only available tuning house here , which is run by an Aussie, use APS as their 'standard' supplier.
Your comments on the quality of the APS kit has worried me though - what bad experiences have you had?

I wouldn't worry about the quality! Really, it's jut not very 'idiot friendly'! I have never found their instructions any good whatsoever - just a few line diagrams that don't seem to be drawn very well/accurately, and their kit seems to be made of quite a soft metal - if bolts are overtightened, the threads go. Not a problem if you know about it.
It would be good to hear about your exhaust once it's on!
And... anyone else out there with one?

Nom
the only person I know with a full APS kit is Hades.
He did a few sound level comparisons and posted them here.

Thanks - that's handy! Can't see the image as I can't see 'turbosport' uploads from here, but will later.
