Question

ive been told that the MY00 scoob has a well documented problem within the ECU software which subaru couldnt sort out and the only way to solve it is a replacement ECU from them ,

Anyone else heard this ?

AE800 or AE801 Black or Brown stickered ECU is what you need.

Edit to correct my typo thanks Alan G.

AE800 Black Good MY99 early
AE801 Brown Good MY99 late
AE802 Green Crap MY00

They can all be freely swapped with no immobiliser/key issues.

Sorry Alan, typo I meant get the AE800 or AE801, AE802 is crappo. T-uk has an AE800 or AE801 (both drive the same) he can swap for £75 + an AE802 ECU in exchange. Email him t_uk@btopenworld.com

Rolling roaded my MY00 with decat dp, itg and magnex back box and made 210 bhp at john nobles. Thats 5 bhp less than standard. Gonna try it with and 801 next time and see how we go !
