The Sidelights have for some reason begun staying on constantly even when the car is switched off and locked the only way to put them out is to disconnect the battery. Any Ideas?

Check you have'nt turned your parking lights on.....

On the classic its the switch on top of the steering column

Tail lights also on? Then almost definitely your parking lights.

I did worse than that...
I thought my Hazard lights didnt work until i found the actual hazard light switch (you know, the big red one in front of you).
Thats how i found out what the parking light switch was
