ive only got standard at the minute, just lookin 4 a new turbo b 4 i get new ecu and remap etc,

The VF23 will no doubt give you more power than a standard TD04 but you may find it a bit slow to spool up.
I have driven quite a few different cars with various standard and hybrid VF's and must say that to date.....I'm not too impressed
A better option in my opinion would be a front entry TD05. My observations have been - quicker spool up, increased torque, quieter turbo and the ability to exceed the power output of a VF23. They are also very reliable and cheap to maintain.
If you get one complete with its cooling pipes it is a direct bolt on.

It is more cost effective if you have a standard turbo to upgrade. They are standard fitment on most 94/95 cars.
Mark Aigin (Lateral Performance, see scoobyshop) can get them modified to front entry and fully overhauled so you have a virtually new unit.

I was just thinking if itīs better than the vf29 i currently run at 1,2bar/held to redline.(thinks thatīs about what it can take=
Is it slower in spool up and how much can it take??

Sorry, I don't know the VF29. The TD05 is likely to outlast your engine (mine did )
On most cars, the TD05 will give 1bar of boost by 3000 rpm. It will run all day at 1.5 bar boost. I have had mine to 1.8 for drag strip racing and it was fine

I ran a VF24, and had the opportunity to try a 23...which @ 1.4 bar midrange (tailing off to 1.15 at 7k) produced enough grunt for a 12.72@110 run on a proper dragway.
It's a lovely little turbo, the main difference I found was that the larger P20 exhaust housing allowed me to run more boost and advance before it started to get noisy (than with the 24).
The TD05 seems like a good turbo though...

Depends on mapping, intercooler etc but recently a TD05 with a fmic, remap, 550's, 2 1/2 exhaust and intake filter made 280bhp at the wheels (AP22) which is approx 344 flywheel. That was 1.35bar midrange tailing to 1.25bar top end. A MD304 incidentally made almost exactly the same power but just took a bit longer to spool up.
A similar turbo propelled my car to a 11.8 second / 118 mph 1/4mile run ........ /J

Andy - your power and quarter times doesn't add up mate. One of them is *way* off - and I suspect that'd be the slip from the dragway. 340-ish won't produce 11's, the car would have to weigh in around 1100 kg's for that.
I only got a pathetic 110 mph due to running stock 440's on stock preassure, with boost tailed off due to running out of fuel. and

I was running approx 370 flywheel on the mixumachi TD05 and my car is under 1200kg too The figures are genuine.

The td05 is bigger and better with the fastest spool up
My G-tech is showing 260atw/ and itīs the same ,when it was testet on a dyno.
isnīt the TD05 much cheaper then the md304.

It's not 'a lot' cheaper, yes it's cheaper but you need your donor turbo which can be Ģ200-300 ish to start off. Probably 2/3rds the price all in I would guess

I went from vf23 to fe modified td05 - to be honest I didn't find the spool point any different between the two, assuming you can remap to suit the turbo.
If anything the 23 was a little quicker to make full boost (but 1 bar in 4th occured for both at around the same point). However, note that I'm running a Maxim manifold.
However, td05 feels (and pulls ) much stronger, lol!

My VF30 produced 1.4bar @3200rpm in 4th gear.
But I don't think that it would last to long @+1.4bar tough..
I'm glad I didn't buy my MD304 brad new to..
looking forward to see how the MD304 and VF30 will compare.
