Has anybody ever had experience of carrying out the above procedures to a NA Sport (Particularly PhaseII).
Having spoken to Graham Goode & Super Chips at the Autosport show yesterday. Both confirmed that although actual BHP gains were small, driveability was improved.
When asked (Superchips - piggyback system) if it was 'dangerous' they replied 'No, because of what was being altered'..Your views..?
Lastly am i correct in saying that with this method economy is sacrificed for performance?
Thanks in advance

Never done it to a Scooby before but had a Unichip on a NA car previously. Was slightly smoother in area's but nothing awe inspiring. Didn't see any noticable power increase.
Economy is not necessarily sacrificed as ideally you want your vehicle to run optimally.

The reply I received from Stan Palmers - re chip. (Yes we can remap the Sport. This involves fitting a reprogrammable race icon and downloading a programme to overide the Subaru settings. The BHP figure of 150bhp is achievable only with a better exhaust system. We fit the Prodrive S/S rear silencer. We have been using this metho for about 3 years with no major problems. Cost of the Race Icon is £395 fitted inc vat and £325 for the exhaust.
