Looking at the SECS S1003 monitor with interest. I notice on the website there are a number of future features identified, such as additional monitoring using external sensors, data logging via a PC and more live data items, which all sound very nice ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Does anyone know if these additional items will be available as software upgrades to existing S1003 monitors or is it worth waiting a bit

I was thinking of getting the SECS disply and wondering if this would do away with the need for a knock link etc. Does the SECS have a knock display? I think I am right in saying it shows the tinming correction the ECU is doing and that that is based on when the ECU hears knock is this good enough? to upgrade this can the O.E. knock sensor be upgraded by replacing this with one that is used by a knock link? or is a knock sensor one of the external sensors that can be an additional input direct to the SECS?
any opinons valued (on this subject before you all start

Alistair, our units show the knock correction on post '01 (GDB) cars, we intend on having a "knock link" type option in the near future for all models, all existing units can be upgraded to include this feature as mentioned earlier in this thread.

To upgrade the software, to enable the the use of external sensor inputs takes about £10 and 2 minutes
. All existing units can be upgraded ( when the upgrades ready !! )
