Question

Not really a project.. but I reckon this is where i'll find the "Guys in the Know" ..

I need to remove front and rear bumpers on my saloon, I've had a quick look, and i'm not really sure what i need to take off.

Can anyone give me an idiots , step by step guide??

Cheers

Thumbs up

This is for an MY98 UK turbo.......should be similar.

Front bumper :-

4 bolts hold the bumper under the bonnet (17mm)
2 bolts hold on the bumper under the arches (at each side)(12mm)
1 bolt at the front of the bumper next to the radiator under the reg number. (12mm)

Unscrew the 4 x 17 mm bolts, found on the inner wings adjacent to the head lights.

Jack up front of the car and remove the two front wheels or do one side at a time.

Remove the black plastic inner arches, or remove enough of the gromits to allow for the inner arches to be moved enough to get access to where the bumper is attached to the bracket inside the front wing.

Using a 12 socket and spanner, remove the two 12 mm bolts that hold the bupmer to the front wing.

One more 12 mm bolt at the front of the bumper under the reg number.

Not done the back bumper yet
