Has anybody got any recommendations for what oil to use in my P1? for future referance! Alot of tuners seem to use Silkolene is this the best? Cheers!

Yoou could try castor oil. The name Castrol comes from "castor + oil"

Most people use engine oil though, Mobil 1 motorsport or Castrol RS (but not the thin one)

We do put oil in our cars, but after the question has been asked, and answered about 23,865,289 times, people get fed up answering, especially when the search function does work now.
Motul 300v 15/50
Mobil 1 Motorsport 15/50
Castrol RS 10/60

Some people do use Silkolene, but it wouldnt be one of my choices.

Sorry Stevieturbo! didn't mean to upset you, must apologise i'm new to this board! forgot about the search facility! Cheers for taking time to answer my question anyway!

 

Silkolene Pro S 10w-60 for me too, it's a proper synthetic oil, i.e. hasn't come out of a hole in the ground like a lot of so called synthetic oils (cough -mobil one- cough).

 

I get whatever the dealer puts in, ain't got a clue what it is...

 

Motul 300v 15/50

 

Motul 300V goes in mine.

 

I put nothing put Castrol 10/60 in mine.

 

Castrol RS 10/60

erm, the dealers near me, put in Castrol Magnatec 10w/40 but as others recommend here, i would move over to the sikolene 10/60 stuff.. good opportunity to do it at the next service, in month or so!!
