Right guyz I am in need of help before i go completely bonkers.

I posted a note not long ago to ask for the size of the fuel tank of a MY93 WRX - and I was told 50 litres. Anyway I am finding the car seems to be guzzling fuel a bit at the moment or is it ?? This evening I drive her up to the pumps with the fuel needle showing on the last line above the E for empty. I'm guessing maybe a few litres left if that. So fill her up and all I can get in is 32 litres !!! Cannot physically get anymore in - you know the scenario - you squeeze the trigger and click everytime - deffo no more fuel needed. My question is that I should surely have about 18 litres left therefore meaning the needle should sit between half way and quarter ?? Anyone got any ideas ? Or has my car got a mysterious 35 or 40 litre tank

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Its the Elves... you park up for the night and they are under the car drinking it.. the little *****!!!

I can run my MY96 to the middle of the E and it takes 55litres to fill (60litres tank according to handbook) I know the earlier ones have 50 litre like you say.. I also can fill until the filler clicks and then pull it out and top it up to the top of the neck so I can see the fuel.. then you know it is definitely full..

Stick a full jerry can in and explore the E
