Check and correct for knock, charge temperature, exhaust gas temperature, boost, fuel pressure, injector duty cycle and pay attention to the compressor map. Work on your breathing from air filter to exhaust.
Cool airflow through the engine is what you need not a simple increase in boost. The subject is far more complicated than just raising boost alone by any method and not paying attention to the consequences. No one can tell you a safe boost level that will work on your car - you have to pay attention to some or all of the features at the top of the post.
Yes I do mean to put you off unless you know what you are doing.
Safest option is to fit a full exhaust and get an ECU remap or aftermarket ECU.

Or buy a LOT of guages, do a LOT of reading, and modify intelligently. I really wouldn't mess with the scoob unless you are prepared to learn a lot before you start. And I mean learn a LOT.
An ECU remap on your car can be achieved relatively cheaply (about the cost of a bleed valve, in fact!) and taking into account your existing mods it will transform your car, giving you not only more power but massively improved driveability.
