Unhappy

Took my Terzo to the main dealer (still under warranty) because the little green light on air-con button was not working (simple I thought).
The dealer looked at it and told me that the condenser (whatever that is) is corroded and leaking and that i need a new one and then the system recharging for the grand sum of £500 + VAT.
Does anyone have any advice and what exactly does this technical jargon that they have given me mean; should this be covered under the warranty?

Thanks,

Mark

you can get condensors in the for sale forum well cheaper than that..!!! and a re-gas on mine was £50..!!

try:

www.importcarparts.co.uk

www.midland-impreza.com

www.gradea-subaru.co.uk/home.htm

www.hdcsubaru.com

www.townendgarage.co.uk

Mark, I had a hole in the condensor on mine - it didn't stop the light working..... but only un-chilled air was produced. It ran like this for several months, so I'm not sure if the dealer is telling you everything here -

I can't see how the light in the switch is tied to the condensor condition..

yer I had wondered if may be because the system hod lost pressure there was a sensor or some thing stopping it from working.

may be it's just the buld gone. because it seems to cool the air coming in to the car.
