I went for a spin this morning in a blokes scoob that I met in the works car park. We got chatting as you do and he said that his car felt "Strange"
We went for a drive around the area and his boost gauge never went above 10psi.
it was a MY00 with decat (Don't know if full) and nothing else. I mentioned that as standard it should be showing 13psi and he said that it used to.
Is this one of those,"clean the boost solenoid and pipes" remedies.
I said that i'd ask you lot cos i wasn't sure.
So in Summary:
Used to boost to 13psi
Now boosts to 10psi
decatted
MY00
Idling fine
Power delivery/driveability fine
Just won't go over 10psi

Ideas?

 

Check for loose jubilee clips and wotnot would be my first port of call.

Sounds like it's leaking boost from somewhere.

Check all the hoses for leaks and cracks.
