Hi there.
I have an STi7 and am in the process of fitting a boost gauge.
The gauge is fitted (autometer) and I have threaded the boost pipe down to where the pedals are.
What next ? How do I get the pipe into the engine bay and then where exactly do I connect it to ?
Anyone care to tell me or even better post some nice pics....
THANKS
Mark.

I got the boost pipe into the engine by on my MY96 through the rubber grommet thing where the clutch cable would have gone if my car had a cable clutch. It's just above the top of the clutch pedal top & below the clutch reservoir. (Sorry - I know that's a lousy description...)
The best way to keep things watertight etc is to stab the rubber with a fine piece of stiff wire to make a circular hole, then pull the boost pipe through. The rubber will hold the pipe tightly.
I don't know whether the new shape has that particular hole.
Make sure you keep the pipe well away from hot things!
As for where to connect the pope on the engine - you can tee off any pipe that directly coems off the inlet manifold. There is a plug on the manifold that can be unscrewed and will take the boost pipe fitting. Unfortunately, the car uses a tapered thread, and the Autometer pipe fixings are not tapered and don't fit without alteration or an adaptor... Again, my knowledge is limited to the classic cars.

The nice Moderator from the ICE forum has some pics of his old MY99 gauge install...

Looks like you have had the advice already. You should break through the bulhead using the 2" rubber grommit by the steering column. Then run the pipe around the outside of the bulkhead along either the aircon tubes or the brakepipes, and tee into pipe that runs to the top of the dumpvalve. Don't forget the restrictor, otherwise you'll end up with a vibrating needle on the gauge.

PS I could show you pictures, but there isn't much to see!
