Call me 'kin stupid, but despite advice and looking, i cant even find it. Had less trouble finding a birds(sorry - 'lady's') G-spot!
4my sins, i have a '97 non turbo Forester that has a mid-range acceleration problem that dealers say is prob. faulty ECU but no guarantees!!! of fixing prob. Also has severe interference to VHF radio as soon as ign. is turned on! Are these two connected?
Greatful for any help. Cheers!

Faulty ECU is usually a cop out when they don't know. Don't spend cash replacing it until someone that really knows what they are doing has checked the sensors on your car and sorted the basics out. I have never heard of a Subaru ECU failing.

Thanks for that John. I must admit that i had pretty well come to
the same conclusion but with less confidence in the part and Subaru!
Any idea of who would be best to consult about such tech. stuff!

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?

Sounds like an earth fault on the car.

I agree...earth problem. All your electrics will suffer (inc ecu)if you have a poor earth. Usually radio interferance is a sign of a bad connection somewhere

Max Air - where is a ladies "G-Spot"???

Thanks for that guys!.... I wil now pursue earth prob. The radio interference part had been suggested as an earth fault before, so with a mask on I sneaked into a car shop and bought one of those embarrassing earthing strips!!! - was nearly tempted to by some of those lovely seat beads aswell..... well, after all it is a Forester!
Nevertheless, earthing strip made bugger all difference! I will have to look deeper!
By the way 'Superflyguy' - I lied about the G-Spot! Guess I'll have to look deeper for that to. Max Air
