hi,checking my vin number/model code and can't find model on the various lists on net what exactly is a GC8G2FD ? can't find what f relates to.

sorry should have given more details ,its jap spec wrx sti badged as v limited but dont know if version 5 or 6 model number dosen't tie up with either

are you sure its FD and not DD? Your spec is GC8G2DD,and on the spec sheet there isnt anything that exists for an F as the sixth digit? FD just doesn't exist mate

In which case I'd say it's an STi6

SIDC faq is seriously out of date, and really needs an overhaul - it doesn't even acknowledge the new shape ffs.

btw just spotted all the typo's for STi5 (should be 6) in the table at SIDC.

The G in your model number should at least mean its a 6

GC8G2FD

5s have F, 4s have E etc.

double checked model numbers and its defin GC8G2FD but cant find what last f stands for anyone???????

hazard a guess,but the SIDC facts state D for both Type R Vltd AND Type RA,so maybe they are wrong and F is Type R V ltd? STi is E,so it could be

thanks guys,so i own
WRX STI VERSION 6 TYPE R V-LIMITED
would all that fit on a boot badge and when fitted would the car still go in the garage!!!!!!!!!
i think when people ask what motor i drive i'll stick to telling them a scooby!!!!
