Well, the minor diameter on the end of the thread is 0.3339" (Machinery's handbook) which is 8.48mm, so I would say try 8.5mm to start with, but you might do better at about 8.7, I think I used to use a 11/32 drill which is 8.73mm

I've never had to ream the hole, and that was into stainless which is roight biatch.
I assume he mean't use a tapered/adjustable reamer? Urrgh.
You might want to just counter bore the first 3mm or so t 9mm or something
