Does anyone know if this can be disarmed (e.g. by dealer) on MY01 WRX?

Gareth, If it's the same as one on a MY98 /99 UK and it's the usual one on top of the dash passenger side, there is a yellow electrical miltiplug join behind the glove locker. The one in from=nt of the passenger knees. If you drop it down, the plug is a bit tricky to undo as it hasa sort of clicky safety catch action.

Once disconneceted the bag is disarmed. You might get a dash light up but as it is siamezed with the steering wheel one it is unlikely - mine didn't

Hope that helps - just be careful with the clicky switch AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO ANY OF IT WITH THE BATTERY OFF.
