Air recirc flap is stuck!

Strange one this, MY99 scoob with manual aircon and a manually operated lever for the recirc flap. Tried to close it the other day and it's stuck solid, feels like if I press it any harder something will break!
Thankfully it's stuck in the fresh-air mode but I don't fancy having to drive behind a smoky bus for any length of time
Anyone else experienced this or got any ideas? I haven't had the dash out or done anything that might cause something to jam behind the lever.

It was the flap behind the left side of the dash next the glovebox, I'd been installing some stuff and something stopped the arm from moving! The simple things always get ya
