Couldnt find anywhere suitable for the knocklink display so I thought I'd butcher the right hand side air vent! It seems to work well and IMO looks tidyer than under the ashtray. Has anyone else done this?

Deep, it is (as far as I know) made with a butchered knock and lambda link. That is also just the std clock lifted with a unit that sits in the recess for the clock.

For anyone else who wants to know: All I did was go to my local maplin electronics store (they are online as well) and buy two green, two yellow 5mm clear led's (I used the original knocklink red one) I then used about half a metre of 10 way flat cable, soldered the led's on to one end. I then removed the led's from the knocklink and soldered the cable onto the circuit board in place of them. The original knocklink box is stuck under my dash and the cable just runs up to the a-pillar. The led's were about £0.50 each and about 5p each for the led bezels (black surrounds) So total cost was about £2.50! (plus some heatshrink for the led legs)
