Other bits you must buy are an afr and a boost gauge, also consider a knock link, the first 2 will help prevent you blowing your engine up, use search for loads of info on dawes or look in for sale as they are often for sale

Thumbs up

you can also get somthing called the GBE boost controller that does exactly the same thing for £30 rather than £50

i have one on my car and it holds 1.2 bar boost no problem.

it uses a ceramic bearing rather than a steel one so it doesn.t jam like the Dawes one does.

i got mine from AS-PERFORMANCE (TEL- 0191 4103770).

save yourself some money and get a better product to boot!

The Dawes Device uses a carbon composite baring and I've never had one jammed after selling around 1000 of them, neither have we replaced a worn one even when they used a stell ball!

Better product or cheap copy? hmmm

i have used both back to back and found the GBE to be far better at holding steady boost.

it may be a cheap copy but it works, and......well.....its cheap!

all IMHO

Fair comment and I'm glad you added the IMHO bit, but I make a point to try out every controller on the market, including the GBE and turbo XS ones etc, I have without a doubt found that the Dawes works better and holds the boost much more steadily, it also helps the turbo spool up far more quickly and in some cases even works better than certain electronic BCs! In my and many other most humble opinions of course!
