Dont know whats going on with my engine, the bottom pulley, which the power steering belt runs round, the one with the timing marks on it, looks to be out of balance, as it seems to be shuddering quite a lot, any idea's ??

Its either braking up, ie coming off the rubber or the bolts loose which holds it to the crank, if its the latter, check quick before it buggers the end of the crank!

It may well be. The bottom pulley also acts as a damper from engine vibration, abit like a ballancing device also. Its made in 2 pieces the inner part being completely seperated from the outer with hard rubber bushing. Somtimes this is known to start coming apart,ie the outer pulley may come away from the central hub (the bit thats bolted to the crank) When this happens, the whole lot needs to be binned. Its not a feature on just the scoob engine, its used in most engines and is known as a crankshaft damper/bottom pulley.
You will know if its because it was loose on the crank and not the above, as you will have to remove it from the crank anyway.
Hope this helps.

Depends how much it is moving, if it is little then probably nothing but if it seems to be quite a lot then the pulley bolt may be loose, which is very common if the pulley has been removed in the past, mine did this and flogged out the key hole on the pulley, only realised when the belts flew off twice, pulley still seemed to be done up enough.
