I think David W did my ScoobySport DP (when it belonged to Chiark) and by all accounts took bloody ages to do as it was awkward...

If no arsing about, i.e bolts rusted together etc, then about 45mins out and in.

Intercooler out (to make it easy), oil dipstick out (to make it easy) heatshield off, undo lambda (year dependant), undo egt, undo 8 very rusted old b4stard bolts (5 on turbo, 2 on centre section, 1 on that hanger that bends easily), heave and grunt. Think "b0llocks" I should use news gaskets, before doing the exact reverse.... and a lump of firegum to be sure.

If bolts rusted together, then it could take forever.

and to think i was going to attempt to do this myself what a ballache, so the flaming labour cost off fitting a new D/P could actually cost more than the new de-cat D/P its self, what a good idea!!! it better be worth it

Thumbs up

Get a quote before the labour is carried out. As it should be about an hour, then it shouldn't be more than £50. If it is welded on the turbo then thats their problem....

If you were a bit further south (like most of the way) then I'd do it for £50.... Plus £10 for every skinned knuckle

Just thought I'd point out that I mean't GEARBOX oil dipstick out, ooops. I think one time I got pi55ed off enough to take the pitch stopper out as well, just to get a bit more travel on the spanners....
