CEL light just came on!
#1
CEL light has just come on and stayed on. Car is MY02(PPP) and has done 7500 miles. It's just been bloody serviced last week as well.
I did a quick search and most of the threads relate to a cam position sensor problem. They all seem to be on MY01 cars,is it likely to be the same problem? Any MY02 owners experienced CEL light problems? I'm in a mild flap about it but I'm on the phone in the morning to Mainland(Widnes) see if they can sort it.
Meanwhile do I have to drive it differently or do I drive it as I normally do?
Chhers Roli.

You can drive it as normal. If the ECU is seriously unhappy, it will shut everything down.
I would get it checked asap but it is unlikely to be something your dealer did at the service.
01 and 02 cars are the same. The most common faults are cam postion sensors and exhaust gas temp sensors.

Good luck in getting it sorted out.
I had the same problem for over a year with my old WRX. Spent many trips to dealers who couldn't fix the problem, even got Subaru themselves involved. In the end i sold the car, fed up with the constant CEL every time i bloody used the car.
