Cool

Any help with this problem would be appreciated as i have only had my scoob for a few weeks.First thought oil!!!! panic anyway upon closer inspection noticed the it was header tank . Wasent driving fast lost some but not all coolant, any advice anyone can give would be appreciated.

1)Is this quite a common thing on a more mature scoob (Nreg).

2)Have ordered the part hope its the right one!!.Is it a job that i can do myself with limited tool's and knowledge of this car.

3)What are the ratio of anit-freeze to water and any brand recommendation's.

Thank's for the advice STEVIEP73

Are you refering to the the brown with silver trim tank to the front left of the engine??

Had mine go a fortnight ago.......... bloody thing....

Posted on here and apparently it's a 'known thing to go'...

Anyways (I got a 92 Legacy) Kept a look out for someone 'breaking a car on here' and someone replied with one.....

£20 .... that's all it cost posted!!

Easy to replace......... couple of spring clips/jubilee clips and that's that...

Ratio for coolant v's water will be in your manual/on the back of the coolant container.

Cheers

Very common. Any pre 96 Subaru turbo is the same, legacy or impreza.

Angry

Know how you feel, bloody annoying isn't it. Has by WRX for 6 weeks and the same has just happened to mine. New part arriving on Monday hopefully.

Nice smoking effect from the front drivers side vent, but only the slightest of leaks.

Are there any other common faults I should look out for???

Gabster.
