Does anyone know if I can use the read memory connectors to find out why the CEL has came on this evening. Running MY01 UK WRX with full decat, only had her 1 day ( bought privately) and really dont wanna be refitting the exhuasts and book her in if its sommit to do with the decat sections.As far as I can see the CEL fix has been applied.
Also how do you clear the CEL?
Sorry for the dumb questions, but wasnt expecting to be asking this type of question so soon.

Why not take it to your local dealer and get them to plug into the select monitor?? They can reset the CEL at the same time. Normally,on a decat car you get a 0420 "Catalyst system efficiency below threshold" if the CEL fix hasn't been applied.......
Cam position sensors are renowned for failing too so something else to look at....

Even with the p0420 CEL fix you will still get them. Just not as often.

EGT sensor possibly ?

Never had my cel come on after the fix was applied in over 30,000 miles. (on my old car, WRX).

EGT sensor it was ( this is the one on the up pipe isnt it), oh and Cat fault too wonder why lol.
