Question

After installing my new xxx (secs) monitor I've been noting the AFR lambda readings...

I get around .98 to 1 almost all the time except for changing gear on boost...goes down to about .8 .75 for a second or less...and when lifting off...it stays at 1.6/1.55 (rich?) which I thought was strange...anyone else with AFR get this?

Normal. Above 1 is leaner than stoich if the units are lambda (sounds like they are). On boost it should be in the 0.8s or lower, but there is probably some lag on the display. Note the factory pseudowideband only goes as rich as about 0.76 lambda even if the mixture is richer.

Doh! There's me thinking the above 1 reading is rich.

I'll check the on-boost readings on the motorway later...seems it only runs around .85/.76 on lift off (but I expect that's the forge dump doing that)

Cheers John.

PS have you Tek 3'd Edcase's WRX yet?
