Question

Any advise, this morning on the way to work, raining, I came to a large rabout in third, travelled around it in 3rd, booted it off in 3rd to get past dawdlers and the car stutered then bang pop, then carried on as normal.
I have pipercross with holes drilled into bonnet vent to let more air in. Could this be the problem with water getting through the air filter. Any advise appreciated cos I don't want to damage my baby. Thanks

Possibly an air-flow meter problem. Mine did various kangaroo antics and backfiring when the connector came loose (it was rubbing on the bonnet).

Thumbs up

Cheers. I'll give that a check when it stops raining.

Was your engine thouroughly warmed up? If not, it might just have been fuel cut. If you post this in the technical section you'll get a more accurate answer from the people in the know.
