Hello there,

my question is short but simple: what is the benefit of the foam attached to the bonnet underside, and what happens when you take it out?
mine is worn, so i would like to get rid of it.
answers please!!!!!!!!!!-

It's for sound deadening.

Rip it off. I did on both my Imprezas as it looks nasty when it is tatty.

You may hear slightly more engine noise, but it's not that noticeable

Cheers

Wink

If it's for a classic, then it won't make much difference due to the size and thickness...If new age, then take it off asap as it acts as a blanket keeping the engine bay hot. Took mine off and you could notice the difference everytime the bonnet was lifted..
