hi
just removed the ecu from my sti-ra and it had
SB in 8mm tall letters and unisia jecs corporation bellow it in small print
is this a standard subaru sti-ra ecu??
the car was some kind of sprint car in japan

Yes it sounds standard to me. The RA comes programmed differently from the factory compared to the vanilla WRX.
On the case it should have 2 large digits, Z6 for example, I think RAs had at least a Z6 and Z8, compared to a WRX which would be W6 or Z5 plus a few others.

A link completely replaces the ECU PCB, fits in the same box, and would allow you to map to 1.5bar boost. It also allows to ditch the MAF sensor.
2 other options are the Apexi Power FC, and the Microtech MT-8 and LT-8 (MT is hand controller mapped, LT also able to use lap top).
