Has anybody fitted samco hoses to there WRX 02, Ive just fitted the Water and Ancillary hoses, intercooler hoses and induction hoses. Since fitting ive noticed a blowing noise when on full Throttle. Then today i noticed the brake pedal going really hard when left foot braking when still on full throttle, but as soon as you took your foot of the accelerator the brake pedal was OK.
Can anyone Help?????

the "blowing" noise sounds like a leak of some sort........would re-check all the clamps, etc........
as for a "hard" brake pedal whilst left foot braking, this is quite normal as you are not allowing any vaccum pressure to reach the servo (normally occurs when on idle) and hence you lose any assistance which normally occurs - you then have to put all your effort into pushing the pedal!!

I found the same with the brake pedal yesterday. I realised later that if the turbo is boosting then there is no vacuum to work the brake booster! You live and learn.

BEEN BUSY TODAY STRIPPING ALL THE PIPES BACK OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM, THE PIPE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE INTERCOOLER THE ONE WHICH GOES TO THE BRAKE SERVO, THE ORIGINAL HAS A NON RETURN VALVE BUILT INTO THE PIPE, THE SAMCO ONE DOESNT, THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AS IT CAN CAUSE VACCUM TO BE DRAGGED FROM THE BRAKE SERVO, THEREFORE YOU HAVE NO SERVO. IAM CONTACTING SAMCO ON MONDAY TO HAVE A RIGHT GO. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO HAS FITTED A SAMCO HOSES TO THERE WRX 02 CHANGE THIS PIPE STRAIGHT AWAY.

Oddly, the faulty Samco hose also seems to have broken your keyboard. Would you mind getting this FIXED at the SAME TIME?!
