Breaks are a Joke!!!!
#1
I just did a ton on a nice quiet straight, gave myself about 3-350 yards to slow down,i thought i was takeing it nice and easy, how wrong i was,i stopped just before the the roundabout and shat myself 3 times, the ****ers where smoking like hell when i stopped, maybe they are ****ed now i'll check them in the morning.....
i've heard the standard breaks are bad but i didn't think they would be this bad, luckilly i'm just getting used to the new car and testing things out,it could of ended up alot worse
any recomendations for a budget brake upgrade?

small world, I work at CMP in over hulton (do you mean this one of the Clifton one?) Don't remember seeing a wagon on the carpark...
Anyway, consider upgrading the fronts to the 4 pots that come on the STI's. Should be a cheap conversion if you can find a breaker.
Edited to say, I have the Sonic Blue TypeR if were on about the same place.

Swapped my 2pots for later spec 4pots (STI's and 99 onwards uk have them) cost me £250 all in including discs and pads second hand and they do make a LOT of difference. It is a straight swap, just remove old discs and calipers and fit 4pots and discs to the same mountings. If you have 15" alloys, they will need changing though as the subaru 4 pots won't fit over them but you will have to do this with any bigger brakes
