Hi guys can any of you help please ........

When driving normally my car is fine, when boosting up to 0.5-0.6 bar the car pulls fine, but once above that the car stuters like a biatch... it's like a miss fire, only not!

Any ideas ? ? ?

 

What type / age etc..... More details please !
Sounds as if the MAF might be on its way out, but only a guess !

 

Crack in the pipework around the intercooler which only opens/leaks above a certain boost level? If you have the original hoses, I'd check this first as it's pretty easy & the original stuff is rather brittle!

 

Cheers nom, shall check the hoses whil cleaning the DV.

the car is a 93WRX with a HKS SSQV and K&N induction kit on it,
just incase this helps

 

Or Coil packs

This happened to me last year new coil packs solved the problem

Have mentioned this to you in person, but to clarify.....

> Loose/split/generaly knackered hoses

> Check plug gaps/replace plugs

> **** in the fuel lines, try running through some injector cleaner

> Coilpacks

> MAF poleaxed

> Fuel pump - but I would expect the problem to be more regular than just on boost if this were the case.

> Knackered turbo
