Whats the best oil for my wrx sti

The Castrol's good. So is Motul 300V 15w/50 and Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w/50. Same goes for Silkolene Pro-S 10w/50.
In other words, don't think there's only one single oil that'll do the job - it's not like the Castrol's better in any way than the others or vice versa, there are a number that'll keep your pride and joy happy.
Only thing worth adding is that if you're going to change it yourself (or indeed get a garage to do it), there's a right way and a wrong way to go about it. Check here for further details

Think I'd been there with the Silkolene Xtreme
Terminator: Are you talking about removing the plugs but not the CPS, or not removing either?
At end of the day you may well not damage your engine if you skip all that stuff.
However, if you do skip it, you are running greatly increased risk of a transient breakdown of oil film damaging the bearings, with serious and expensive consequences a little further down the road.
The disconnect crank sensor - turn engine - reconnect crank sensor routine takes all of two minutes. For the insurance it'll give you against damage, it's more than worth doing.
