I have just bought a new intercoooler from sti v5 to replace my standard UK MY98 one - it's the silver type with the sti logo at the top... I think it's the same type as the one from P1. You know the one.

My question is, has anyone fitted one before on their UK model, and did it make much difference for you? Also, is it a pretty much straight forward unbolt, replace and bolt on type job? I think I'll have a crack at fitting it myself, unless someone has better ideas.

Thanks

You'll need to get an adaptor for the DV as it is bolted directly to the IC on the MY99-on but is a remote (ie on the end of a pipe) on the MY97/98 IC.

H&S and MRT make adaptors, but it might be just as easy (cheap) to get a MY99/00 DV from a scapper.

Keigo I did this to my 97 about a month ago, it's fairly straight forward depending upon your skills.

You'll need an adaptor from Hayward and Scott because the standard DV for that year won't fit - there's next to no room. It certainly seems to improve cooling but it did lean out a little as a result.

Here's the thread I started http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=222630

And here is another that was useful http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=105944

Mail me if you want more specific details.
