Night before last I took my MY95 WRX to work. In the morning in I jump, turn the key, ignition lights go on - fine, turn the key to start it and CLICK. Try a couple more times still the same - loud sound of a relay clicking. Start worrying - this is NOT what I need at 8am after a 12hr night shift. Get out of the car, activate and deactivate the (Toad) alarm. Get back in, still the same - oh bugger. Try a couple more times and it decides to fires up. Drive home without having to stop and start the car.
Once I'm home I turn the engine off and on a couple of times without a problem - is there a common starter-related problem ? Have only had the car a few weeks and this is the first sign of any problem.

Cheers - I'll try and take a look and contact some breakers.

If it's the solenoid, then it might just be sticking rather than be completely knackered. If you can get the starter off the car, clean the solenoid switch and WD40 it or similar.
