I've slightly overfilled my MY99 with oil (just past the F hole on the stick) and I'm worried about knackering my oil seals. Is it possible to suck some back out using a silicone hose and a syringe through the oil filler, I'd probably only need to remove a couple of 100ml? Or should I get it down the dealers for a full oil change as its due for a service in 3 weeks?

A messier way to do it is to unscrew the filter slightly (it'll start leaking, have a bucket beneath the filter).

Try www.liquidvac.com and ask them if they will ship to the UK. I had mine shipped to a friend in the military in Germany. It works.

Take it out the way you normally get oil out of the engine - undo the sump plug!

Yep. Sump plug is the most practical option by far. Much less mess than undoing the filter as you'll get a single drip of oil which can be caught in a jug.

They'll probably put it in the next car they service, and charge its owner for the pleasure!
