Have MY97 wagon with full de-cat, aps recirc., itg with resonator removed, dawes and slight piston slap!!!.

Car recently had a new crankshaft pulley and cam-belt.

Car is running lumpy and hunting down the road at 2.5-3000rpm. Also can physically feel it ticking over rough. Pulls alright when floored but don't have knock sensor.

Solenoid also ticking away intermittently!!

Going to try different solenoid and standard DV. Any other thoughts please?

Sounds like MAF Doug.

Thats what mines was doin' before it blew.

If battery has been disconnected for a wee while ECU resets and can't adjust to faulty MAF.

Thinks there's Hee Haw air getting in so fuels accordingly.
Leans off then FAKO! New engine Post time.

Get it changed NOW! £70 or £3500 That's the choice.

Anyways Hope to see you Saturday.

Let's know how you got on?

See if Scoty still has his old MAF sensor to try in case it's not that.

Only thing which makes me think it's not the MAF is the solenoid ticking away. How does that relate to the MAF sensor?

Sounding a bit thick but i haven't used a MAF for nearly 4 years!!
