Question

Weird one this ... whilst driving yesterday suddenly all indicators went "on" (constantly, not in the "hazard" way and... stayed that way.

Whatever I tried, they stayed on. Take key out of contact, lights still on. Remove battery connection, lights go out (doh ) but connecting the battery again... yup, all 6 indicators are on.

Looked at all fuses, nothing. Called our local AA, the man was miffed and couldn't help.

Soooo... anyone know what this could be ? Stuck relay ? When you operate the hazard switch or the indicators, you hear one click and that's it, lights stay on solidly no matter what ***** I touch (ooh err).

Oh, and you only realize how difficult it is to drive safely in heavy traffic without being able to indicate when something like this happens

Thanks for any pointers.

Theo

more than likley yo be your flasher relay contacts welded together, which would let lights stay on with or without ign on.

As a follow up: it turned out to be the alarm that made a false contact, forcing the indicators to stay on.
