Workshop manuals

I have used it for fault finding a fuel pump failure plus wiring up my afr, fault code diagnostics and removal of various interior parts!! The only file for the 97-98 version that is less than 1 meg is the pedal layout and cable diagram. The Brake section is 36Mb in size and has 145 pages to it
The post 97 section is 156Mb in total (hence the offer of a cd for you) and the pre 97 is 46Mb (but in pdf format) So as far as I'm aware it's all there
Tim - I'd look harder, there is tons of info in these manuals I even found an extract about noisy tappets last year which I was worrying about

checked a bit further, and you can subscribe to the site fro $19.99 for 72 hours
with broadband that'd be more than enough time to teleportPRO the whole site

edited to add :
its the CD's you have to pay $299 each for, looks like you can DL all the PDF's you like once you're logged in.

I'm not too fussed over the year, to be honest. I don't want to take my 02 WRX apart (yet!), but I'm thinking about using the Scooby powertrain in the next car I build. I have this feeling that the low CoG of the engine would be very useful in a track car. I'm not entirely sure what chassis I could use, although I've got a couple of ideas. Unfortunately, it would probably have to be 2WD as a) most race cars are much closer to the ideal "wheel at each corner" configuration and b) AWD is probably outlawed in the Blue Book regs.

Yeah, I'd seen those. However, it just seems to be the "technical description" bit and doesn't really have things like torque settings, part numbers and step-by-step disassembly instructions in it. (Unless I'm not looking hard enough...:-)

I've discovered you can download the complete manuals from the US site (www.subaru.com) but: a) you need to pay, b) they're obviously for the US versions and c) there's loads and loads of little bits rather than one big download.
