I was indeed lean,
when i last night rasied the FP to 4,0bar the WB display showed from 4-5krpm 11,5:1 and from 5-7k 12,2 and then over 7k it goes to 11:1....
I can actully feel the car goes better

so the WB is working, but the temp was just to high for it to work..
Good thing is that i have not pushed the engine to hard for long times

Now i just need to map it right tonight,so itīs ready for dyno tommorrow

Thanks,
Skassa

I have just finishīed the install of the TechegdeWB V2 in the car,but there is a problem with it....

When i have driven it at WOT through 1-3 gear it begins to read totally wrong and the red diode is flashing fast on the controller.(i have read that itīs the sensor getting to hot)

Do You guys have the WBsensor in the plug for the OE sensor or do You mount another bung for it?

I can also see that 0,86-0,87volt on the OE NBsensor is about 12,8-13,00:1 on the wideband so i may be a little lean here, when i reach 7000rpm and to the limiter which is at 7400rpm itīs 12,5:1

Is this so much lean that the temps will exide the temp range of the WB sensor????

Thanks for all info.

I only have the v1.5 but... it never (apparently) overheats in the OE position (the top-of-the-downpipe bit ). Different sensor, though, I suppose (NTK L1H1).
The temps there shouldn't be over 750C, at least not very often! but I think the max of the, erm, newly supported probe jobbie is 700Cish? Which does put it rather close...
I presume you don't have an EGT probe? Marevllous things, good investment...

I will try to give some more fuel here or maybe i have retarded to much??

Some more fuel sounds like a good idea Could easily bring the EGTs down by 50C, as well as getting the mixture a bit better.

Thanks,

I will try tonight

I can see that others are aiming for 11,0:1 is that not too rich.

Is 12,0:1 what i should aim for ??.

I aim for 11.5ish, but vary it depending on what the EGTs are doing

Okay,

I need a EGT gauge then

The WB V2 can log EGT,when there is software that allow it

Thanks,

Cool

I am running mine closed loop at 12:1, which is about as rich as I want to go. It went very well running 12.5:1.

I will try to see if the 550cc injectors can cope....

I just donīt understand that iīm running so lean as the Link reports 85% dc with the fp at 3,2bar....

I will try to raise the FP tonight and hope that i can keep the dc down.

Thanks,
Skassa

Skaasa did something not recently melt inside your engine? Perhaps this is your answer. If it is lean enough to overheat the lambda sensor in the downpipe, it is definitely your answer.

You will need a lot more fuel pressure to get 10% extra fuel.... remember the ratio of newld fuel pressure needs to be square rooted. If you go from 3.2 to 4.0 bar differential fuel pressure, the extra fuel will be approx (guidance only) 12%... probably about what you need for starters!

If you think that is too rich, go by EGTs, remember your narrow bore clearances as Bob points out, and see if leaning it out stuffs up your timing.

A meltdown could be precipitated by running too lean, then retarding the ignition excessively to get the knock counts down.
