TD05 Front entry conversion...
#1
Is this the standard elbow cover modified to front entry or is it a new cover completely ? will a td04 cover fit on a TD05... If it is a modified normal cover is it something any decent engineering place could do.

Hi Steve,
Mine was a modified TD05 cover with the elbow machined off and a new inlet bonded in. The TD04 will not fit as it's a smaller diameter and won't fit over the compressor. A good engineering firm should be able to handle it, but you'd have to trust them to get it right first time or you'd be stuck with having to source a new cover.
Cube.

Yep I think Mark will end up doing this one....Hi Mark.. just seeing what was actually involved I thought a pipe would have to be bonded on because of the way the normal cover's elbow left no straight bit. Quite a feet of engineering really didn't realise they could do stuff like that.... :0

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
I will do them.. for a fee.. but offer no guarantee..
it isnt bonded, its a tube machined with an interference fit and loctite..
