Hi

This may sound like a daft question but i have recently purchased a 1996 wrx v-limited which is a fresh import from Japan. The question is, are the service parts the same as a UK model, i.e can I walk into my local Subaru dealer and purchase them over the counter or do I need to buy them from a specialist.

Many thanks in advance

Phil

Yes you can buy parts over the counter but you will need to give them a UK chassis number for even a sump plug washer. My dealer doesn't entertain me if they know its for an import but I got my mates VIN plate details for his 95 UK Impreza.

Most service items you can get from various tuning places, Scoobyworld, Scoobymania, Scoobysport, Graham Goode, Roger Clark etc etc.

Really depends on your local dealer, I went to a very nice one at the weekend who even came out to check the car to make sure the part was the same as the uk model

some want your money, some dont from what I can work out.
