where can i find uk model codes?

where is engine no. situated on engine?

clutch renewal-how expensive and how difficult?e.g. need to take e
ngine out etc

most of the details are on the chassis plate, fitted to the top of the N/S suspension turret top,in the engine bay. The engine number is stamped across the back edge of the engine block. If you look down at the back of the engine around where the clutch lever is, it should be a stamped number around there.
To replace the clutch, you can actually remove the gearbox more easily than taking the engine out, as you dont have to re bleed the cooling system that way.
The exhaust down pipe which can be a nightmare on turbo's is simply unbolted at the bottom, the the two threadded studs taken out of the bottom of the bell housing, allowing the gearbox to move back and "tilt" to one side, easily allowing the box,past the exhaust downpipe.
Clutch price depends on how good a clutch you want or are prepared to pay for, gte the best you can and watch out for heat cracks on the flywheel, you may have to replace that too..
