![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
To keep insurance costs down following a big claim, I've gone for a non mod-friendly insurance company.
To be on the safe side I want to remove the Power Engineering boost gauge that the previous owner had fitted - can anyone help with instructions?
As far as I can see the main thing to disconnect is a bit of piping that goes through the bulkhead and is attached via a T-piece to piping that runs between the manifold and a module over on the o/s/f wing.
Is is just a matter of replacing this T-piece with a straight connector, or is there more to it?
I'm a complete novice about this - hopefully one of you guys with loads of experience will help me out!

yes to stop the gauge working disconnect the T piece and plumb the 2 back together, then follow the elec wires to disconnect the lighting, to be honest a gauge isnt exactly a mod that insurance would be bothered about i wouldnt of thought

I'd echo Andy's comments on this. Are you sure the gauge counts as a premium-raising mod with the company who's covering you? I'd be surprised if it did.
If it does, as has been said it's as simple as removing the tee in the engine bay and disconnecting the lighting in the cockpit.

Thanks guys
It does seem a shame to remove it - I'm a bit nervous though, given the thorough (but polite) grilling I got from the insurance investigator after my claim.
I've disconnected it but I'll ask Axa again if they really needed me to
