Question

can any body help i have a 1993 impreza wrx that keeps holding back.one minute it is fine then it is holding back a bit then it is as flat as a none turbo. so far i have fitted new plugs,new coils,fuel filter,air filter,d cat front pipe,new centre pipe,temp sensor under inlet manifold,lambda sensor,i have also changed the ecu,air flow meter,boost control valve,actuater. when ok its boosting at .8 bar,when raely bad .4 bar. dont what else to do any body got any ideas. also when boosting at.4 a blocked off the pipe to the actuater ,it should of over boosted but it stayed at .4

Lightbulb

Look, here's another one like me, except I have Legacy turbo MY92!!Mine does the same and I really don't know what to do. I'm waiting for manual boost controller to see if that'll work.

Other then that I have't got a clue what it is, except when I reset the ECU (disconect the battery for 30 min) the car works perfect... at least for 5 km.

Try changing the knock sensor. It worked wonders on my 93 WRX. Not cheap though...
