Mine's a stiff one.

Its happened again, but only for the second time in its 4 month life but the clutch pedal of my MY98 has become stiffer with no 'play' in pedal travel at the top end.
On the two occaisions it has occurred i've been standing for a prolonged time in stationary traffic...once the traffic begins to flow the pedal returns to normal.
This would appear to be heat related...anyone had a similar experience of a stiffy?
I guess i can wait until the next service in a few weeks to get it sorted.

Change your clutch fluid to a DOT 4 or even 5.1. Some Subaru dealers now stock Castrol Response DOT4.
The clutch reservoir sits over the turbo and primary cat, both of which get very hot. At rest, the heat can build up in this part of the engine bay and make the clutch less effective.
