Unleaded to Shell Optimax

Have been running my 97 wagon on normal unleaded for the past 12 months and thought i'd try a dash of optimax as everyone says how much better it is.
Do i need to reset the ecu, or just drive away from the Shell forecourt and it'll sort itself out ??

On your age of car it could take a few tank fulls for the ECU to sort its self out, 99 to 00 cars do it quicker and 00 to present do it almost imediatly.
Id do an ECU reset myself to save time.
