Well, people have got over 300bhp out of them with relative ease on scoobs, so they must be alright! They're fairly hardy.
Is the output of the GTT going to be enough to get a good spool out of it though....they are 'fairly laggy' on a 2.0litre.

Hmmmm.... You may have probs with space, i managed to get a T3 on my Gtt but it was not an easy task, that was also with front entry rather than having a 90degree bend. I know of TD05's running 25psi which should give you enough for the Gtt. One prob though... I dont think the engine will like big boost from it though. It can only take so much air..

The lag factor is an issue.. I have been told they are rollerbearing units though so i'm not sure how much lags going to be involved.
My current turbo spools up from 3000 rpm an revs off till 7000 rpm.
And i'm wondering where the spool up will be with this unit ..as Ive never dealt with an IHI unit before is it similar to a Garrett T34 ?
Cheers Dean.

I think a td05 would be too big for an R5..
td04 may be better...
Andy or mark may be better to comment..
bit of nitrous would get it spinning though.

Yea, you'd be better with a tdo4 on there. I think you'll be looking at 4200 rpm before you see boost of 1 bar or more.
Even the smaller td04 will be approx 3500rpm on a 1.4 but will run to an easy 250 bhp.......... if your engine can ??
Andy
ps, if you're selling the td05
