i have an MY97 uk turbo and was wondering what my options are regaurding the above?
i have been told not to use chips because they trick the ecu rather than a proper remap- is this true?
what ecu's can i get for my car?
cheers in advance

Some chips (like ScoobyECU) contain a proper new map, others do not. ScoobyECU only works with cars up to and including MY96
ECUtek remaps work for MY99 and on.
If you have a MY97/98 then it can be remapped, but it's not as convenient. (I don't remmeber the company that does it.)
